Waukesha County

*Come to the Afternoon Music and Reception performance at Caldwell Hall at Old World Wisconsin in Eagle from 2-3:30pm on 3/13! Jeff Pockat, Gaelic harpist and storyteller will be performing. Please register in advance with the Alice Baker Library at 262-594-2800, there are only 60 spots available!

*It’s time for Southeastern Wisconsin’s fastest growing antique collection! The Waukesha Expo Market is open from 9-4pm on March 12th and 13th in Waukesha. Free parking and $5 entrance fee ($3 with two non-perishable food items). Collectibles, arts, crafts, and unique items you won’t find in a retail store!

Milwaukee County

*Enjoy MAM (Milwaukee Art Museum) After Dark: Northwoods on March 11th from 8pm to 12am! Leave the cocktail attire at home and don some easy flannel for this night celebrating the great outdoors and the museum’s feature exhibition Nature and the American Vision: The Hudson River School.

*Time to enjoy Milwaukee Irish Fest Family Day in the Village on March 13th from 11-3pm! The event celebrates St. Patrick’s Day with a variety of Irish-themed activities, perfect for all ages, including: live performances, Trinity Irish Dancers, bodhran lessons, arts and crafts, and delicious Irish food! $5/family!

*It’s time to take advantage of this warm weather and participate in the XC Thrillogy Hills Are Alive Trail Run/Walk in Burlington on March 12th! Walkers and runners are welcome! There are between 2.5 – 7.5 miles of beautiful, well-maintained trails which include great views of the lake for newbies and those who would like a challenge.

*It’s Maple Sugarin’ Time at Hawthorn Hollow in Kenosha! Come join as they tap their sugar bush on March 12that 10am. Visitors will take a journey back in time and discover the magic of maple sugaring. The visit provides participants with history of Native American traditions and techniques for capturing, collecting and cooking of maple syrup. It is an outdoor program. Dress for the weather!

Walworth County

*Toot toot! The Delavan Train Show has come to town on March 12th from 9-4pm at the American Legion Hall. Admission is free, and it is fun for the whole family! Stroll the streets of historic downtown Delavan and see over 20 operating train layouts as well as circus layouts highlighting the history of the circus.

* There will be free meditation classes offered at the Unitarian Universalist Church of the Lakes in Elkhorn on Tuesday, March 15th from 6:30-8:00 p.m. There are a total of 4 classes on 4 consecutive Tuesdays. People can attend as many as they would like. These are beginning Shambhala meditation classes and will be taught by Rebecca McAllister who is a nurse practioner teaches nursing, and runs her own wellness consulting practice.  Sheboygan County

*Something for the whole family to enjoy at the New Holstein FFA Alumni Annual Farm Toy & Craft Show! On March 13th from 9-3pm at the New Holstein High School there will be farm toys, crafts, attendance prizes, kids pedal tractor pull at noon, silent auction for handcrafted barn, Packers team autographed football, Brewers tickets, and much more, brats, hamburgers, pork sandwiches, cheesecake desserts.

*Listen and enjoy A Century of Song from Shawn Weber McMahon in Concert. She will be performing alongside the Sheboygan Symphony Orchestra on March 12th at 7:30pm at the Stefanie H. Weill Center in Sheboygan. A can’t miss event!

Jefferson County:

* Join us March 12 for Watertown’s Irish Jig Jog 5k, Kid’s Run and a Great Post-Race Party! 9:30am is the 5k start, 10:30am is the Kid’s fun run start. There will be brats, Irish stew, music and lucky drawings for big prizes at the after party! Register online now.

*Peter Pan has come to town! Well to The Fireside Dinner Theatre in Fort Atkinson at least! For the very first time, this timeless musical fantasy in a sumptuous new production. It’s all there – the dazzling dances, the adventures, and the great, great music! Seven shows weekly, Wednesday-Sunday!

 Ozaukee County:

*Enrich your weekend with a Fort Frances Concert on March 12 from 7:30-9:30pm at the Cedarburg Cultural Center! The band expands well beyond their Americana roots into a bold new direction. Tickets are $16 in advance and $18 at the door, call 262-375-3676 for more information.

*Come one, come all to the Owl Prowl from 7-8:30pm at the Cedarburg Bog in Saukville on March 11th. Since there are no leaves on the trees in March, you may be able to spot resident Screech, Barred, and Great-horned Owls and maybe some migrating Saw Whet Owls. Come and learn the calls and lifestyles of our owls. Bring a flashlight, binoculars, and be sure to dress for the weather.

Racine County:

*Spring has sprung early with the Spring Bridal Show! Located at the Roma Lodge in Mount Pleasant on March 13th, this event goes from 1-4pm and is only $2 to get in! Your admission will go to benefit the Racine County Food Bank. Featuring local wedding vendors, raffle prizes, food tastings, fashion show, and groom’s room!

*Can’t miss the 2016 Burlington Home and Garden Show! Located at Burlington High School on March 12th from 9-3pm, admission is only $2 at the door. The 2016 Home and Garden Show features more than 80 vendors – everything from home repair/remodeling to technology. Free seminars with local experts starting at 10 am. See the Chocolate City Quilters exhibit, including a chance to enter the quilt raffle.
