• Between 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m., Monday through Friday, from December 1 to April 1.

• Between 2:30 a.m. and 6:00 a.m., Saturdays and Sundays, from December 1 to April 1.

The City of Oak Creek does not issue on-street parking permits; however, emergency overnight parking permission may be granted by the Police Department. Permission must be requested and granted prior to the vehicle being parked on the street overnight.

SHOREWOOD

Winter Parking Regulations. Parking is restricted to one side of the street from December 1 through March 1 on most neighborhood streets to facilitate snow removal. Streets with this regulation are clearly posted “No Parking Dec 1 – March 1.”

Snow Emergencies. A snow emergency can be declared in events of heavy snowfall or other inclement weather.  During a snow emergency, no vehicle of any type may be parked on a street or alley during the duration of a snow emergency. Residents may also call the Shorewood Police Department at 847-2610 to see if a snow emergency has been declared.

WHITEFISH BAY

Sidewalk snow shoveling. Village Ordinance requires that residents clear sidewalks of snow and ice 24 hours after a snowstorm. Failure to do so may result in the issuance of a citation and the Department of Public Works removing the snow and ice at a charge to the property owner. The Village charge is $30 per hour plus a $38 administrative fee. If you are going to be out of town, please arrange to have your snow removed.

GLENDALE

No parking is allowed on any street between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. from December 1 through March 31. All 2013 parking permits will expire on December 1, 2013. WAUWATOSA

Clearing snow. City ordinance requires that the full width of public sidewalks, including crosswalks and curb ramps, be cleared of snow and ice by 12 noon of the day following a snow or ice accumulation. Be sure to note the following details regarding snow removal:

  • Ice that cannot be removed must be sprinkled with a de-icing agent or sand to prevent slippery conditions.
  • Sidewalks and ramps must be cleared again after each plowing operation.
  • Sidewalks on major streets are inspected for compliance. Residential areas are inspected on a complaint basis.
  • An area at the curb or driveway must be shoveled out for your refuse cart.  Do not place the cart on the sidewalk or on top of a snow drift.
  • Backyard pickup subscribers need to clear a path that is at least 3 feet wide from the storage area to the street.
  • During a snow emergency, there is no parking on any street except for the following: loading and unloading of passengers (3 minute maximum) or loading or unloading of property (30 minute maximum), provided that parking is otherwise allowed at the location

CITY OF BROOKFIELD

Snow plowing. Priority is given to all main roads. All other roads (Class II) will be serviced as soon as main roads have been cleared and deemed safe. Since there is less traffic on weekends, the time frame to have all roads cleared may be slightly later. In most cases, this will mean that the streets will be passable. Clean-up, which includes widening, will be done as soon as possible after making the initial pass.

Fire hydrants. It is the responsibility of the homeowner to clear snow from fire hydrants and to ensure mailboxes are accessible to the mail carrier.

TOWN OF BROOKFIELD

No person shall park, stop or leave standing any vehicle upon any street or highway from Nov 1 – Apr 30.

ELM GROVE

Snow Emergency. During a snow emergency, there is NO parking on Village streets.
