Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center – Madison. Frank Lloyd Wright originally proposed a design for a “dream civic center” in 1938. A long and controversial campaign ensued before Monona Terrace finally opened its doors in 1997. With interiors redesigned by Taliesin architect Tony Puttnam, Monona Terrace spans 90 feet out over shimmering waters, incorporating thoroughly modern technology and amenities with the architect´s signature organic design. Make sure to schedule a tour to see Wright’s masterpiece come to life! After you are done with your tour, visit Wisconsin’s famous Dane County Farmer’s Market which features over 300 vendors! Milwaukee Art Museum – Milwaukee. How many times have you seen the majestic wing span of white or better known as the Burke Brise Soleil but have never ventured inside? You are missing out on a trove of the largest collections of works by Wisconsin’s own natives, including Georgia O’Keeffe. Opening in 1888 as Milwaukee’s first art gallery, the history behind this majestic piece of art in itself is innumerable. In 2015 an additional section of 30,000 square feet was added devoted to light-based media, photography and video installation. It’s a local feature you can’t miss! Go and see the wonders that Milwaukee has to offer today!

Tommy Bartlett Exploratory – Wisconsin Dells. Looking for more education and extreme fun all wrapped in one? Look no further! The Interactive Science Center has more than 175 interactive displays that explore science, technology and space. Experience virtual reality adventures, simulator excitement, mirrors, magic, puzzles, holograms and scientific wonders! When all said and done, you will be hungry after your scientific adventures, head over to Paul Bunyan’s Northwoods Cook Shanty to take a picture with the humongous Paul Bunyan out front and enjoy the family style, all-you-can-eat meals which are popular for a delicious reason!

Cave of the Mounds, National Natural Landmark – Blue Mounds. Cave of the Mounds has become the premier cave in the upper Midwest and the jewel box of America’s major show caves. Guided tours of this geologic wonder follow paved, lighted walkways departing regularly every day of the year. Visitors also can enjoy a fossil dig, butterfly gardens, hiking, biking, snack bar and picnic area! This national landmark was discovered in 1939, but is rediscovered daily by tourists looking for great family fun!

Shake Rag Alley Center for the Arts – Mineral Point. Arts and Crafts Workshops and cultural events come to life in a wide variety of visual, literary and performance arts in the heart of Mineral Point. Nine historic buildings set along brick pathways serve as the central campus of a city-wide art education center featuring an abundance of workshops for all ages. There is even a Historic Inn that provides lodging to the public! Their mission to inspire creative and care for the arts and the history along Federal Spring has wholly succeeded. This art destination has become a thriving cultural center with children’s programs, a performance stage and adult art workshops. Let your creativity and wonder come alive at the Shake Rag Alley Center for the Arts!

House on the Rock – Spring Green. House on the Rock began in 1945 when Alex Jordan combined his imagination and ingenuity to build a retreat as awe-inspiring as the view from the rock upon which the House would eventually be built. The House was only the beginning, in the years that followed Jordan expanded his vision and began collecting and building other exhibits. A sprawling, eccentric collection of odds and ends became a resort, attractions and lodging all in one! If you are wondering where the world’s largest indoor carousel is, head to Spring Green! The best feature may be The Infinity Room which is a long hallway that juts out 218 feet without any support underneath! It has over 3,000 windows which makes for an incredible view.
